Exhale Therapy grant Fund
Life be lifing… And sometimes you just need a space to talk it out.
The Exhale Therapy Grant Fund was created to help remove the barriers that often prevent Black and Brown communities from accessing mental health support. Through this initiative, individuals are connected with licensed therapists and provided with up to six therapy sessions at no cost.
At The Velvet Arts Project, we understand that healing is not a luxury… it is necessary. Yet for many people, therapy can feel financially out of reach, intimidating, or difficult to navigate. Exhale exists to create a softer landing and a clear starting point for those ready to prioritize their mental wellness.
Because everyone deserves room to breathe, heal, and exhale.
If you have health insurance, please verify your mental health benefits with your health insurance before you apply.
If you can afford therapy sessions, we ask that you please refrain from applying.
Signing up does not guarantee services. Getting connected with a provider is subject to the availability of providers, funds, or other limited resources. Individuals who identify as Black/African American, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, and persons living with HIV with inadequate insurance or income will be prioritized. All are welcome to apply.
If you have a specific provider you would like to see, we recommend that you encourage the provider to sign up on our website and have the provider mention in the form that a client has asked them to sign up.
Once you are Link’d with a therapist, you must email the therapist and CC The Velvet Arts Project within 2 business days in order for your session fee to be covered.
Must be 18 or over.
Limited to 6 Free sessions per person.
